Am I the only one who thought that Sandaza looked quite good today and also shared a fair anount of passion. He has taken undeserved stick in my opinion and I think he is a very good player and should possibly get more opportunities (at least the first sub before Holroyd).

Opinions?

Nope, you're not on your own.

He tried to create opportunities around the box, and was unlucky that nothing really came off for him

Yes, he did look good when he came on. I quite expected him top start today as a straight replacement for Wood. I really wasn't expecting Batti-boy to get a start .... then again I was also struggling to keep up with just how many midfielders were unavailable today.

No, you're not the only one. I think he looked good when he came on - & had it not been for the recent good form of Murray & Barnes & Wood, I think he'd get more 1st team action.

If Sandaza had all the chances Barnes has had this season Sandaza would be on 20 goals.

Was disappointed he didn't start in the Wood role. Think we would have threatened a little more then and wouldn't have had to play Batti.

I think every time i've seen him play he looks quite lively. He's different to our other stikers in that he seems more likely to poach a goal from no where with the way he moves around the penalty box.

Would like to see him get a bit more game time which would lead to our other stikers being kept fresher for the hectic run in.

Thought the 2nd half we was a lot better and didnt do poor passing did in first half, was it nerves ?
But Sandaza and Caskey was two of our best players with Bridcutt and Bennett in parts.
Sorry i like Brez but he was awful today, also Greer and Elphick poor in 1st half.
But a good day out and loved the songs we singing hehe, really wound up some of the stoke fans.
I love i wanna go home stokes a s--t hole i wanna go home hehe.
great stuff

Sandaza is always getting into postions where IF the ball gets there he will be dangerous - but the trade-off is it is harder for the ball to get there, and he is rarely an outlet for the midfield.

The other down-side is that he does nothing else, unlike the other three strikers, which is why he is behind them in the pecking order.

I think he would be more likely to score than Wood or Barnes is he played a full game, but we would be less likely to keep a clean sheet. That's the choice Gus has to make.

When I've seen him in the past, he always looked a bit off the pace and not strong enough for his height, and only really looked threatening when getting into the right positions in the box. But today he was throwing himself around a bit and getting a bit of the ball at times and i thought he looked really effective, strung a few decent passes together too. Maybe he'll still have a few more chances to show us what he can do yet.

Was really impressed with him when he came on. Made a real nuisance of himself and for a while, the Stoke defence didn't quite seem to know how to cope with him.

He looked half decent today, but surely he must be a contender for ugliest player ever to play for the Albion?

Sandaza reminds me of one of those players who never looks like he knows what he is trying to do. Not necessarily a bad thing, as the defenders dont have a clue either. I quite like him, not sure why though. He does have a knack for scoring goals, which as a striker is a very good quality to have.

Agree I thought he looked good when he came in clearly looked up for it and trying to prove himself definitely worth bit more of a try IMHO

Wasn't there yesterday but the failure to use Sandaza more is a bit of a mystery this season. I don't think he will be here next!
