All in the theatre of football and while the game is still going on, and although I think it adds to it all when the final whistle went it may have been better for Sanchez to run and celebrate with the Brighton players rather than turn round and offer the Palace fans out ?

I have no problem with cupped ears etc while the 90 minutes are being played in fact it’s what the games about but once the final whistle has gone players and fans alike should not be acting like thugs ( on both sides )…. Or am I going soft in my old age ?

Our lot were gutted after Benteke's smash and grab last season. They didn't lose their heads in the way some Palace players did last night. They were like a small boy having a tantrum because they had been forced to let their brother have a turn on something.

Rob Sanchez's reaction leaving the pitch was reminiscent of John Robinson's when getting abuse from Millwall fans after we'd won the play off semi final in 1991. I seem to remember 'Gulls Eye' writing something like 'Robinson handled himself like a proper Newhaven boy.' - Last night Rob handled himself like a proper Cartagena muchacho. Great to see that his laid back demeanor hides a steely and fearless determination.
