Interesting they are looking to splash the cash this summer, I know Poch said he thought they were 4 or 5 players short, including a marquee Keeper. Wonder who the marquee keeper would be ? I know Neuer has said he is open to the possibility to leaving Bayern, would probably cost £40/£50m which they could amortise over 7 or 8 years.
Kepa comes back in the summer too, doesn't he?

I think just for his final year. Can't see Real Madrid wanting to buy him with Coutois presumably coming back sometime around next season and having to also fund Mbappe's wages

Didn't Nottingham Forest sign Strasbourg's keeper in the January window. Wonder if they'd loan him there?

To be fair, he was a good keeper for us under Potter and in the right team could still be a more than decent no. 1. The problem is, Chelsea have a track record of signing expensive goalkeepers (Kepa, Mendy, Courtois, Sanchez) who all have one thing in common: they have a clanger in them. Patience is thin at that shambles of a club anyway, so signing a keeper from a club most of their fans seem to despise/pity/obsess over who turns out to be more of the same was never going to end well.

Thought they could only amortise over 5 years max now ?

I feel like an absolute strawberry fool, he's 37 anyway so doubt they would amortise until he's 45....or would they? ???
