In my view this strengthens the playing side alongside the 3 Bs. It should also help with player recruitment and give the fans greater confidence. It also suggests to me that there are funds for player investment.

Perhaps 2 excellent season long loans from Liverpool, and then 3 decent permanent transfers in.

Sounds about right in terms of numbers, permanent/loan ratio, with a view to scouring the loan market if we have long term or a number of injuries.
Positions: goalkeeper, centre back, left back, and either two wide forwards or one wide forward and one central striker.
