That's a very specific "understanding"! Is your sauce at BHA, Saints or linked to Sammy?

EDIT: much more likely to be Saints or Sammy on reflection - how would BHA know where the approach came from?
new poster with very specific knowledge of one issue but not knowing which job he has gone to speaks to me of a well informed Sun reader (is there such a thing) or a Sun journo with Bhafc sympathies :lolol:

.......my point being of course to disparage the Sun "news???paper"

I emailed Paul Barber on a separate note on the day Sammy Lee was announced and added in my email thought was a good appointment ,he replied with this after his announcement.

Like our new manager, I have also worked with Sammy Lee previously (when we both worked with The FA’s various England teams) and, from my experience, he is a great addition to our senior coaches. Similarly, Antti Niemi is a vastly experienced coach at international level so, again, I think we have added another great operatorto our team.

Regards, Paul

Very interesting.

As suspected then, the appointment is official. IF things have changed, SL will look like a bit of a ****.

Not even slightly bothered by this news. Sorry for Sami, who has been publically fcked over by a 'mate', but don't see Lee as a loss at all. We'll find better.

Saints have gaps in their academy set up, as they recently sacked Dodd and Williams (?).

Hope Niemi's agreement is properly secured though. Pleased with his appointment, and Saints have a vacancy there too!

I vaguely remember delivering a free newspaper (Seahaven News?!) in Seaford in the 1980s that had a BHA character in it called Seagull Sammy, a kind of Where's Wally character. Anyone else remember it? The company went bust and we never got paid for our last round.

Is now a good time to admit i did actually have SOME doubts about him joining ?

Seems he is a bit of a backstabber - if he wants to screw us over, then he probably isnt the person for us.

Is it always going to be the case that we identify players/staff with real prospects only for clubs with more muscle to arrive and say 'We'd missed that one, thanks very much'...

Meh, We'll have to find someone else to hand out the bibs and put the cones out now.

It was only Sammy Lee, who gives a toss.
