Does it look finished, or are they still working there?

Work is still going on in some areas, but it looks ready to go in the parts we were allowed into. The entrance hall/atrium/whatever you want to call it has a huge but very tasteful version of the club badge in silver on a white background. And - NSC exclusive - I was told by a board member that one of the existing squad who has Premier League experience came in last week and was blown away by the place and said he couldn't wait to start pre-season training.

There is fresh embargoed material but Hyypia wouldn't even say which managers he learnt most from. There's some mildly amusing World Cup-related stuff and a bit about his experiences at Leverkusen but all a little general and vague. When we asked him to be more specific he more or less refused. It's almost as if he thought the press might try to trip him up, a foul slur on Her Majesty's sporting media that some people like to propagate. You know who you are!

Will the club finally reveal the poopetrator ???

"Possession in general is only a number for me. What you do with possession is more important for me."

oh do i like that!

Its All Too Beautiful
From The Argus : Hyypia explains how Leverkusen signed players for him to use.

He adds: "I'm very pleased my opinion will be heard here." :D

Oh, he may be in for a shock then.... Remember OG saying he wanted to play attacking football and many of us fell for that one. Too used to press conferences to believe anything they say, as in the title they are press conferences, don't need a journalist to tell me what I see with my own eyes on a Saturday afternoon. We'll judge Sammi from what happens on the pitch, don't see many new signings coming in though.

I've come back home.

silly question but why do they have a press briefing room at both the Amex and Lancing. is that normal, good for you guys, a pain etc... and what were the press facilities like?

As the players will be based out of the training ground from next season, and pre-match press usually happens before training it makes sense to have one there so the players who do pre-match press can head straight to training after rather than having to travel from Falmer to Lancing. Amex one will obviously still get used for post-match press bits.

As it is they were nice. Similar to the Amex press room in terms of setup but felt a bit bigger when there. A lot darker too due to the colour of blue on the wall and black ceiling. Overall was blown away with how the whole place looked. Haven't been on site since a press tour back in October, and then it was only steelwork. A great facility and like the Amex a sign of where we want to be in the future.

And the wifi worked.

All NFL training grounds have dedicated press facilities but not all in the Premier League do. Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham in the south but not QPR, West Ham, Palace or Southampton.

Crofts, btw.

The primary concern of being in any modern press room. Even more impressive that Albion now have two.

Crofts?
