Has Riga been replaced at Blackpool yet?

Nope, but he was appointed after Sami, so him going or not won't affect Hyypia's place in the list. (He was initially announced in April, but was due to sign the following weekend, however, the official announcement of his signing wasn't made until five days after Same was announced for us in June).

SH is now 79th longest serving ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_English_Football_League_managers )
but we now approach that silly time of the season when Chairmen start to panic and weld the axe. According to the papers and bookies, these are most at risk: Newcastle / Fulham / Bolton / Blackpool (no idea what's going on there!) / Exeter / Orient / Port Vale. Long odds: QPR? WBA?

Let the merry-go-round start!!!

Out of those my money owuld be on the Fulham manager to be next one sacked.

Russel Slade has one match to sort out Orient

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29205751

Slade is the fourth longest-serving manager in the top four divisions of English football, having been appointed in April 2010, and accepts that he is under pressure.

I can't help but think Slade was on a hiding to nothing whether they had been promoted to the Championship last May or in his current situation, trying to recapture last seasons success. Wish him well. Amazing to hear he's the fourth longest serving manager in the Premier/football league. Hearn may not be everyones cup of tea but he backed Slade when Orient were having a few ups and downs over recent seasons. The new guy is clearly yet another flash harry with unrealistic expectations.

.

That statement always amazes me. If a manager has struggled from the start of the season why should it all go right in 1 game. Logically the chairman may think this but why say it. why not just act after the next game if that is his thinking. What do they expect the manager to do different for 1 game?
