Anyone else? What have you won? I think I’m on 4 numbers about three times and 3 numbers about 20 odd times, that’s it 😞

NB no tales of “I had the same numbers for 27 years, stopped doing them and the following week they all came up and I missed out on £15,000,000” as you’ll just get the ‘chin rub’ gif

Sweet FA.

But the hope keeps me coming back.

So you're doing the same thing every week, and failing every week. Something something definition of madness.

I buy a few lucky dip tickets by direct debit…..hardly ever win anything. Might have had £50 or so once but anything at all is rare (apart from the occasional ‘lucky dip’ ticket).

Part of a syndicate for over 20 years. 5 of us, same numbers every week, plus three lucky dips. In the first year or two, I recall that we won £200 4 or 5 times, then nothing of note apart from the odd £20 here and there 😳

My Dad did 2 sets of his numbers twice a week and his uncles as well. My wife told him to stop buying 8 tickets a week and allowed him 1 set twice a week.
The first day of the national lottery myself and 4 mates all picked a set each without buying a single ticket. We had picked one correct number between us and I have never bothered since.

Yes, the back breaking task of letting them take four quid out the bank every week.
(I hope you’re not suggesting I stop now, you don’t want me to come on here and say “I had the same numbers for 30 years, I stopped doing them because someone on NSC took the piss and the following week they came up and I missed out on £15,000,000” do you?)

I do remember when the National Lottery first started, I was on the risk committee of a large financial organisation and it came up at the regular meeting about various key departments having syndicates and whether it constituted a risk and what we had done about it.

I said that I thought it did and I had taken measures to alleviate the risk by joining the syndicate. I changed jobs soon afterwards

I’d like to know how many Actuaries do the lottery. I’d imagine it’s very few.

I don't like seeing a fellow Albion fan being robbed of £4 a week, but you're right, I don't want you missing out on £15m. It's quite a conundrum.

Sort of had the same numbers since it started. One line has remained the same and the other changed as family ages increased. However, since doing direct debit, haven't bothered to change the second line. Maybe 4 numbers just once but no idea how many '3's have come up. No where near enough to alter my lifestyle but I live in hope.

I took over a small syndicate, 5 lads in the pub, my first week we got 5 numbers up, won £1400, so close... we changed the numbers straight after.
I was bloody close on the £1m raffle. Abc123456, I had the 3 and 4 wrong way around. Heart was pounding for a while!
So hopefully third time lucky and soon!

We have had the same 5 lines since the beginning.... biggest prize was 2600 ish for 5 numbers... and 680 ISH for 4 numbers very early on .... plenty of small prizes, but Camelot are the winners by a country mile.

In that case then can you have a word with (the probably late) George Gunn, Davie Ki-Ki et al as I gifted them a weeks wages every Thursday night for about two years. I can live without that four quid, it keeps me on the straight n narrow

We’ve been doing Lotto with the same numbers for over 15 years Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Once won £140, by coincidence this Saturday just gone we won £30. I never check …. instead we received the email that we’d won a prize …. for a couple of minutes dreamt it was a huge win.
I remember the first time I got one of those emails.

“We have some exciting news, please log into your account”

Adrenaline was seriously pumping as I logged in to find I’d won £20.

Pr1cks!
