is sir kier "blue" enough for you to recommence taking part in the democratic process again?

He's getting there, Blair Mk II only I fear that the Union bods et al won't let all this happen without a fight.

Smears and dirty tricks in local politics? Who'd a thought it!

Of course, tricks are only 'dirty' when they are applied against someone you like. Perfectly legitmate 'tactics' when applied against someone that you don't agree with.

Credit to Private Eye here - they will call out dirty tricks when they see them, no matter which faction of which party. And they've reported such against pretty much all factions of all parties over the years.

Ever thus etc.

What happened was under the Corbyn the left of the party got a rule change through that made deselecting a sitting MP easier thinking it would lead to a load of moderate MPs losing their seats and the Parliamentary Labour Party. What actually happened is most local Labour parties are fairly loyal to their MP and nothing of the sort happened.

Under Starmer it was actually made harder to de-select an MP but fast forward a few years the moderate wing are back in control and the first victim is one of the darlings of the left.

Be careful what you wish for.
