I'm struggling to understand why Ashworth would want to leave Newcastle for Man Utd. I know that they are historically the biggest name, but aren't Newcastle supposed to surpass Man City in this decade? Aren't their owners the richest people in the world with a plan to build a no expense spared army of super footballers to smash all in front of them? Aren't they going to be bigger than Man Utd? Is that not happening any more? Was their long term plan really just to replace Steve Bruce with Eddie Howe? If that's the case, there's going to be a lot of disappointed Dr Faustus's in the North East.

The thing is, it is. It just FEELS like yesterday. Over 20 years ago for Nobby - in fact nearly a quarter of a century. The Amex is nearly 13 years old. It's taken my son from 'too young to concentrate' to 'first season ticket' to 'drinking on trains and calling the referee a wanker'.
Yeah. We are all old. But we are never going to be the big dog so we just need to appreciate the ride.

YoYo club Newcastle or to arguably one of the biggest or if not the biggest clubs in the world.
Newcastle maybe slightly above us in the food chain although if the likes of Man City or Liverpool seriously came in for Isak he’s out of there.
If the Jewel rumour is true I wonder if Radcliffe is another one obsessed with the way we do things.

Ashworth's strengths are reportedly in setting up operations, not so much running them - he likes a 'project' so probably sees his work at Toon done, like he did with us.

Would it be wrong to think Jewell is open to moving on given both these rumours have surfaced in the last 24 hours?

Is Todd Boehly the stupidest chairman the Premier League has ever had. His weird obsession with trying to be us has resulted in one of the most expensively assembled squad being an average mid table side and he still hasn’t learned his lesson.

Copying an average mid table side in order to become an average mid table side.

I was once told many years ago by a wise man " If the man across the road offers you a penny more for the same job, take it."
That's stuck with me as there is no loyalty in the workplace anymore.

There seems to be at least 24 players on the pitch, plus two referees. 14 of those players seem to be on our side. Even Chelsea might be able to crack this one.
I've often wondered since Pottergate, that if the club had a boot sale at the academy, how many Chelsea tw@ts would turn up ???

Clearly not someone working in Shoreham.
I've heard the commute is a nightmare.
