BBC Southern Counties Radio will be looking to read out fans' pre-match and post match thoughts every week - where we plan to post a thread before and after each match.

Please answer the following for use before and after the match this weekend:-

Should salary capping be brought in across europe and into the english leagues to stabilise our football, and if so what should the 'limit' earnings be of our leagues?

How about

"Will the SCR Phone-in EVER be made available on 'listen again' on a consistent basis? Or perhaps even podcast?"

And no. Salary capping wouldn't work. What's the incentive to get any better if you're earning the maximum amount?

Yes.

Answer the IMPORTANT questions BBC SCR. Currently the most backward station in the UK.

As for salary capping, no I don't agree. The market will dictate and we as fans will vote with our feet if it gets too expensive to watch. As happens at Withdean now and will at Falmer if the board don't price it correctly.

yes, its a pointless question since its impossible or impractical to apply. either it wouldnt be legal today or clubs would just find alternatives ways to renumerate and incentivise players.

If you had asked a similar question about CELERY CHUCKING I would 've said 'Yes'. Sadly, you didn't.

I would love it to happen but it goes against the whole idea of being a footballer being teated like any other profession i.e. salary is dictated by how much people wish to pay. Do you know of any Company Directors whose salaries are capped?

Salary caps would breach European Law and wouldn't get off the ground which make this a pointless discussion.

It's a bit like saying if Anabolic steroids were legal, which ones would you use?

Works pretty well in the Rugby Premiership (£4 million this year I think), but there are lots of rumours of circumvention (i.e. excessive "secretarial salaries to players wives etc!). It would have to be euro-wide though to level the playing field in Champions League/UEFA cups etc. Currently i don;t think the French and ?possibley the irish have a cap in Rugby, hence why all the Southern Hemisphere players are heading there.

Not legal.

If it was, individual Premiership salaries should be tied to the average paid by the new owners of Mancity.

Clubs in the lower leagues should consider £28 7s 11d as top wack.

Smaller clubs like Leeds should work on salary outgoings of 600% of income so that taxpayers can see some return for their money.

Pointless, stupid, ridiculous and impossible. And that's just the question.

Why isnt it legal for owners of companies to decide their salary budget amounts, in a way most clubs have a 'cap' now don't they ?
