It can't be worth half a point either then. Its arbitrary, which is why 'effectively' always has to be inserted when talking in these terms. Half a point makes it seem like thats actually something thats being awarded, but the League has never dealt in half-points. People say that a superior GD is "as good as a point" - nobody says "we're 0.5 points ahead thanks to GD".

You're not being a nob. Its just been a long week for everyone.

if there's one game left and you're one point above the relegation spot with a poor GD, and the other lot.....
oh i can't be bothered
i am a bit of a nob

As much as I find this absolutely hilarious, as I did the scum losing to Liverpool all those years ago, don't ever forget it may happen to us one day.

It already has up at Boro, thanks largely to a certain B. Clough, esq.

However. Tonights result was the biggest AWAY top-flight beating in the entire 131 history of the competition. I don't reckon we'll ever be on the receiving end of anything that will beat that. Probably not tomorrow anyway.

This result makes me feel bad.

It confirms how rubbish the Saints are and despite this we still managed to lose to them.

Liverpool only scraped past them 2-1, they won at current media-darlings Sheffield, and they drew at Wolves last week.

Yes they are indeed cack, but that c**t Andone went and handed them the points on a plate. No way were we losing that game till the mentalist screwed us over to get his move.

Any team playing three at the back is liable to get unhinged, I expect Southampton to drop such an idea for their next two games.
PS: Leicester travel to Burton in the EFL Cup next.

I love this rather melancholy post at 0-6.

You've said it now! It certainly sets it up for tomorrow, every Brighton player must feel that little bit more positive after that result.

I really want to see us make a mark on the Prem with attractive football and goals. Radio 5 Live Robbie Savage Show this morning doing their predictions he literally said "Brighton vs. Everton. Sooo, Everton's Marco Silva under pressure there..." and proceeded to talk exclusively about Everton thereafter. We are getting no attention whatsoever.

Ha ha! I heard the Talkshite preview of the game, which was similar. About five minutes talking about Everton players and the manager and then 'it's going to be tough for them going to Brighton'. They then went into talking about Hughton (and how it was a risk changing style and manager) and didn't mention Potter or ANY of the Albion players by name! It was actually quite impressive, in an odd way.

Red is definitely the colour you don’t want for your stadium seats (or your car for that matter), as they always end up a sun-bleached pale red/pinkish colour after a year or two. The empty ones at Southampton wouldn’t look out of place at Selhurst, even though the two stadiums were constructed over 200 years apart.
