Sunday's 'All Stars'match organised by Lawrie McMenemy and Mike Osman has been called off…
The benefit game had been arranged for this coming weekend in aid of the 'Save Our Saints' campaign, but a lack of ticket sales has now caused the organisers to reconsider.
FA Cup winning manager Lawrie McMenemy had been hitting his contacts book hard in an attempt to line-up a host of Saints legends for the game, including Matt Le Tissier and a number of the 1976 squad, but with just 1500 tickets sold by Wednesday, the decision was taken to abandon the fixture.
Sounds like those Saints fans really care about their club.

All-star Saints game cancelled From Daily Echo)
That is shocking isn't it. There must be more to this than we know, because if they can't raise more than 1500 "fans" to this fundraiser, then they don't deserve saving.
look what we ALL achieved , fans united, marches etc etc
they just seem to be waiting, thinking everything will turn out ok ie there must be someone in the wings, we cant go under were to big mentality...........It may bite there lazy arses !!
Even with a massive debt the stadium is an asset - can't they remortgage ?
