Happy Saint George's Day to everyone but NOT to the racists and the bigots.
What a weird thing to say do you think the Scots , Welsh and Irish have the same sentiments???

https://youtu.be/h8qzr3v-Ke0

Happy St George's day lovely weather as well

Regards

DF

I'm in Scotland at the moment and I think the majority of the Scots, Welsh and Irish probably do have the exact same sentiments and wouldn't want you either. Sorry

Sad state of affairs. Unlike the Scots, Welsh and Irish we can't celebrate our national saints days without being branded as racist and zenophobic by the 'tolerant' arbiters of what is acceptable to them.

(....and yes, I do realise that some racists and zenophobes will celebrate St. George's day, just the same as some racists and xenophobes support the Albion or ride bicycles and do other ordinary things that ordinary people do; it doesn't make the other people doing these things racist or xenophobic too)

Can’t you? Yet I have seen plenty of pubs today clearly celebrating the day and nobody in them seems to be impeded by cries of racism or xenophobia. Perhaps you’re being a big of a bed-wetter about it?

this. I refuse to accept that anyone has ever been prevented from celebrating St George's day, and likewise I very much doubt anyone has been "branded a racist" for doing so

This - Its ok for the other home nations and the Irish to have their national day but when its come to St Georges Day we English are considered racists etc if we want to celebrate out national day. Double standards.

I don't think anyone would object to having a proper St.George's day to celebrate the best things about England, and the first step should be to make it a bank holiday. Then cities and towns could arrange parades and festivities and take the cross of St.George away from those who make the majority of people wary of it.

Currently the red cross and the Union flag are claimed by The Sun and its idiot readership, and are associated with 40 years of exporting football hooliganism to the world. And on top of that we have had the NF, BNP, EDL and UKIP wrapping themselves in the flag. The brand is tainted.

What on earth are you on about you silly sausage?

Are you one of those snowflakes who complain that these days you'll be beaten up for wearing a poppy?*

Well, you might have learned something instead of having a closed mind. In 2018, Corbyn said there should be four more Bank Holidays. St George’s Day for England, and the other 3 saints days for the other countries.

Yes, another Corbyn daft idea. There'd be Anti-Nazi League and various other groups demonstrating against the 'fascist racist nationalistic - and probably homophobic too - and definately Islamophobic' celebrations of St. George's day. Every woke faction would be behind them all the way too. Tere would be tar and feathering - if not quite literally, but all over t'internet, Twatter, message boards and lord knows where else in the ether!

If Corbyn and his chums had organised it it would probably have become the world's first Bank Holiday with lectures on racism included (though they might have turned a blind eye to a bit of anti-semitism..............................)

George M had a fantastic voice . It’s amazing that bands like Coldplay sell any records when their lead singer can barely sing in tune .

You really are the tunnel at the end of the light, aren't you.

It appears you're the only miserable prat NOT celebrating it.

Instead of mithering like a a ninny on here, why don't you go and join one of the many, many St George Day celebrations that are taking place in pubs, venues and locales up and down the country?

St. George's Day Parade to take place in Chichester this weekend

https://www.v2radio.co.uk/news/west...ade-to-take-place-in-chichester-this-weekend/

Let's Do...St George's Day in London!

Back in full style, St George's Day on Trafalgar Square will be a flurry of everything brilliant about England and being English, all set in the iconic heart of the nation's capital. With great music, food, markets, performers and activities for the whole family, it's set to be a great day out.

The family event will include an afternoon programme of live music featuring the London International Gospel Choir, string quartet Bowjangles, hoedown collective Cut A Shine, brass band Das Brass and folk headliner the James Riley band.

Alongside the main stage, there will be walking entertainment from St George with his Dragon, Divine stilt walkers and the Pearly Kings and Queens.

There will also be family activities including The Knights Training School, the Storytorium, a dragon Selfie station, face painting, upcycled arts and crafts, and a games area, as well as a range of food stalls.

We look forward to seeing you live and in-person at Trafalgar Square!

Arundel, Chichester, Lewes, London. All easy places to get to. All having large public St George day celebrations did none of the dunder-heads think to attend one of these big events? Or is it more satisfying to sit at home on the internet telling lies and posting bullshit links about nobody being allowed to celebrate?

Stupid doesn't begin to describe some of the posters on here.
