A toughy this one. I shouldn't think the Charlton trainspotters will win this, despite offering free bus services from all over the South East and 50p season tickets. They're a bit chummy with us, I think. Have tried to annoy West Ham, Millwall and most recently, our very own Selhurst scum, with no success probably owing to the fact they take about 5 busloads to their nearest away games.

Reading. Real contenders. Used to be rivals with Aldershot *snigger*. Now feebly trying it on with Swindon & Oxford, neither of whom give a toss about them. And nor do we, in the rivalry sense. We're quite jealous of their ground, as it is a blatent missed opportunity.

Gillingham. Utter flids, a bit like a fly in summer - get right on your tits. There's Scally, the paid-for but still tin-pot stand, the f*** all fans, or the comedy "no-one likes us we don't care" song which they pinched off Millwall - a club they don't like at the moment. Again, not that Millwall give a toss about them.

Bournemouth. A bit like Gillingham, but without the pikey aspect. Once voted Albion as their third-most hated rivals. Not that we knew anything about it.

Leyton Zeros. Fourth division shite. Foreever. :D

I voted for Gillingham.

Although we had two years there, the ground is awful and hard to find.

Not that many go looking................

Leeds are a bit confused on this issue. A one-club city, the teams they should be rivals with (Sheffs Utd and Wed, maybe Bradford) they aren't, but they have hang-ups over Man Utd and Chelsea, who have much bigger fish to fry.

A bit like West Ham then.

But are Leeds or West Ham as sad as the offering on here? That is the question. And I think that question can be answered by the lack of clackersticks, general pikeyness and the fact that other clubs actually give a toss about *them*.

We did have a bit of a rivalry with them in 1972. Our 2nd biggest gate of 30,000+ was against them at Xmas '71 and we got promoted ahead of them by finishing 2nd. There was a lot of aggro down at their place as well.

Hardest poll in ages, they are all no-marks to be honest, I voted Borient, but it could easily have been Gillingham, Reading, well they don't even register to be honest, I just do not even think about them.

By the way, its Friday morning in NZ, in 3 hours I will be on holiday and down the boozer!:smokin:

You forgot to include Wycombe in the poll. Or maybe Cheltenham. But then again, could you really be bothered to give them a mention?

Reading...they are just so....

insignificant.
When they reach the premiership I wouldn't be suprised if MOTD omit any game involving Reading as "there's just no point".

Has to be the pikeys for me. Chatting to a Gills fan, the best he could offer as a rival was Colchester! Other contenders were Fulham and Wycombe.

Actually, Colchester are another sad case. They hate Ipswich, who couldn't care less.
