I guess so. The Treaty of Rome (I think) states that nationals of member states have the right to work in other member states, so freedom of movement. So any footballer with a passport of a country that is a member of the EU can play in the UK with no restrictions or need of a work permit.

Thanks. I find it confusing because lots of changes were made to our stadium over the summer related to the FA. However in hindsight these restrictions were placed by the FA due to the world under 20 tournament being in Toronto and would have nothing to do with MLS.

What are you on? I'm talking about imposing restrictions on clubs that they need to have 6 homegrown players in their first team.

You said that the whole FA need to quit or be sacked - ever heard of paying contracts off? Also, to impose highly illegal quota's - if they were ever be allowed to implement - you'd have to pay off all the international players from each club.

It's an idea that could work....... on Mars perhaps.
