Or are you just a fairweather fan, who only turns up occasionally or not atall?!

Why do you have to refer to how much of a 'proper fan' everyone is? Are people that dont turn up to the games not allowed an opinion?

Of course, although it's a bit shit to slag players off that you have never seen play.

True, but still everyone has an opinion. And the fact that whenever anyone disagrees with his point of view he immediately turns to the fact that they are a 'fair weather fan'. Becuase of course he is the hero of all fans and we all aspire to be as good a fan as him.

It is a shit argument, but it's a fair one when you know that a lot of people slagging players off have been nowhere near the game. If you're at the game then the argument falls on its arse.

Yeh hopefully he can come up with a constructive argument next time or maybe just shut up :glare:

Fleetwood by his own admission likes the ball at his feet, its how he scored the lion share of his goals for Forest green. He hasn't got the height or physical presence like Murray. give him a f***ing chance.

I thought that he played very well in the first half but Derby cottoned on to him and played him out of the game in the 2nd half. His speed in the first half was electric

He's quick, and that is nice to see.

But by shirking challenges he gave away SO much posession. I know he's not the tallest, and so long balls shouldn't be aimed at his head. But still!!

Fozzy is not the tallest...he still goes up for challenges!

f*** me, even Coxy does every time he needs to!

I'm not expecting him to win every time, but some effort would be appreciated!

Oh dear... we predictably lose to a championship team in the cup and suddenly the players are shit, manager's shit etc all over again. I don't go to other club forums but are we perhaps one of the most fickle, badly supported clubs in the country?

Spot on, but this board is about opinions even if some of them are ill-founded without any substance or fact. Perhaps it is best to just ignore them.

Fleetwood - you can't challenge in the air and run past the man - it worked in the first half, not in the second.

Thornton taken off because he is still not fit. And it showed in the 15 mins before he went off.

Sullivan my or may not have been fouled, but I was in line when the ball was crossed and the guy that scored was offside. Shocking lino today.

Tell me, what exactly were you expecting tonight? We're you expecting us to turn over a Championship side on a very decent run? They were in the Premiership six months ago FFS. They took their chances, we didn't. Big deal.

Your post makes you sound like a little boy who's dropped his ice cream.

Nail on head!

Some people need to get a grip here, step back and look at the bigger picture!

Personally, I will be happy if the team finish top half of the table, it's all about Falmer at the moment and staying top half of the table, anything more...fantastic!!!

Doh - Fair point - I guess I was so convinced he should have been taken off - and so amazed that El Abd came on - that I hallucinated. Hard to see what was going on near the end through all the people blocking my view as they left!!

Agreed.

As for Sullivan. Ok, not a great game from him, but not exactly a complete howler either. I'd be interested to see who gets the nod for Saturday. I think Kuipers is still clearly number one but it would be a shame in a way if Sullivan gets dropped for Saturday as it could dent his confidence off the back of last night.

I think the main issue with this thread is Fleetwood, not the performance in general. I don't think any of us really expected anything out of the game.

We were outplayed by a good championship team, fair (?) and square.

fleetwood was good... you see we lost to a CHAMPIONSHIP team we weren't supposed to be in contention!

Reckon it would have changed the course of the game if he'd squared the ball back to, I think murray and Anyinsah, both ideally placed for a tap-in, in the first half. But he tried to curl it past the keeper instead. Fair enough, it's what forwards do, and it's easy enough to call from the stands. But it was a chance that would have shaken things up a bit.

I thought Adams was given a green light to bring in two strikers? Has he settled just for the one then?

jake manthorpe, your a cock!
i like the way you give a player 1 and a bit games to let him prove himself to you.
i thought apart from tommy he was up there with one of the best players in the game. played of peoples shoulders all night and beat the offside trap many times against a team that was premiership last season.
yes your aloud your an opinion but its bollocks so shut up ffs!
