Bit unfair to put Gatts in the same category as Chad.
Thought his fielding last night was superb, great run out, he seemed to fit into Dwayne's backward point role very well.
Nice little knock of 18 off 14 balls.
Got more of a future in the game than Chad

Hate to say that about Gatts but the end of the day runs will keep you in the side and he has no big scores to his name this year. i like him but oh well.:albion2:

Are Sussex big payers? The Telegraph article said his wage demands are likely to be hefty - can we afford big wages and if so how?

Sidebottom would be a useful addition to the side. I'm surprised Surrey aren't sniffing around.

Seen him bowl, and i don't think he is that close to the test set-up as some seem to think, rather more of a replacement now ? Would like to see him down hill at Hove.

Kent's Amjad Khan is the latest fast bowler on Sussex's radar as they look to strengthen their attack for next season.

The county have made an official approach for the 29-year-old but face competition from Somerset.

It follows confirmation from Nottinghamshire that Sussex have also approached England left-armer Ryan Sidebottom about coming to Hove.

Khan, who was born in Copenhagen, won his solitary Test cap against West Indies in 2009 and also played a one-day international during the same series but since then he has spent more time on the treatment table than the field.

He missed the whole of last season after having major knee surgery for the second time in his career and he was sidelined again earlier this month with a recurrence of hamstring trouble.

But if he can be kept fit there is no doubt that Khan, who is capable of regularly bowling at 90mph, would add some firepower to the Sussex attack.

He has taken 277 wickets in 84 matches at 31.72 since making his first-class debut in 2001.

Sussex's policy is not to say whether they have approached players but Khan's agent David Fulton, the former Kent captain, confirmed their interest.

Both counties are expected to monitor Khan's fitness for the remainder of the season as much as his statistics before deciding whether to step up their interest.

frankly, international has-beens or fringe players are ideal. availability is not an issue if they're not getting selected and, if they still have ambitions of playing at international level, they certainly have the motivation to impress.
