On his way to Germany. Another complete poisoning balls-up by (allegedly, cough) Putin if Navalny survives.
In a strange way this is good for Putin, if the German medics find evidence of poisoning by an incredibly abstract poison, it shows that the state ( Putin) is probably behind it.... And he ( Putin) really does not care who knows it!

Read Bill Browder’s book Red Notice. It is like a fast paced novel. But you will see what sort of state Putin runs. These are gangsters and the oligarchs in this country are beholden to Putin. And we take their money and ask no questions.

One thing to this governments credit is the implementation of sanctions under the Magnitsky Act. We need more of that.

This. If/when it comes out that it was the Kremlin that used poison, nothing will be done about it anyway.

It’s scary when folks equate these leaders to Stalin and Hitler. It’s a shame some people don’t value education. Trump, Putin and Johnson can be compared to the gulags and concentration camps? Cheese and rice, you people are dangerous,

Forget Johnson. He’s not got a principle in his body. Trump is also just interested in himself. He is happy to fire up division and hatred and not worry about the consequences.

But Putin has no compunction about killing his enemies. Home and abroad. There is not a massive jump from there to gulags. There is a corruption that could lead anywhere.

We now have the means to do something. The west can use the Magnitsky Act. This does what the oligarchs fear. Removes access to the west and freezes their assets. It’s a start.

Exactly my point. It shows Putin as the ultimate authority and untouchable in Russia and internationally.... Be Afraid!

Alexei Navalny poisoned with Novichok, says German government

Berlin calls attack on Russian opposition leader an ‘astounding act’ and demands urgent explanation from Moscow

The German government has said toxicological exams at Berlin’s Charité hospital have yielded “unequivocal proof” that Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny was poisoned with a Novichok nerve agent.

Guess the west will have to fund some other far-right Russian to battle off with Putin. Better luck next time.

Here
Problem is, all Vlad has to say, in an offhand jockey moment, is something like "who will rid me of this turbulent opposition politician" and immediately a hood scores some Novichock from the Kremlin Novichock store under some pretence (e.g. got a rodent infestation problem at home, the missus is giving me hell) and goes off and does the deed. Vlad shrugs his shoulders and says "Well I never told anyone to do it".

Lesson is...if you’re a Belarus separatist and Putin opponent only drink and eat out of tins.

Who is this offhand Jockey...I’ve always found Dettori to be quite flippant.

Surprised they haven't sent him to Salisbury Odstock hospital as they have a decent record with regard to Novichok survival. Spent many days visiting there in the last few weeks and there didn't seem to be a great deal of other activity especially with zero covid cases.
