He wasn’t by the way…They couldn't even decide if Murali was a chucker or not - what hope have they got of pulling this off?

How could they possibly guarantee safe passage? To even get physically close enough to Putin you need the highest clearance. All the guns soldiers carry around him are unloaded by his “elite bodyguards” before he arrives. They should offer $20m and safe passage out of Russia to anyone who kills the ****.
He wouldn’t make it through tomorrow .
It's a startThe International Criminal Court has issued an arrest warrant for Vladimir Putin for war crimes because of his alleged involvement in the abduction of children from Ukraine.
Slovakia to send 13 MiG jets to Ukraine
Slovakia will donate all 13 of its MiG-29 warplanes to Ukraine, becoming the second Nato member after Poland to pledge the fighter jets despite the Kremlin warning they would be "destroyed".www.telegraph.co.uk

If somehow you were able to “turn” one of his closest goons, it’d be a suicide mission for them with no hope of escape or collecting the bounty. They’d have to be acting for purely patriotic/ideological reasons and accept their life is forfeit.
It’s a Hitler situation, he’s almost untouchable by a lone assassin.
When he does go, it’ll be like Stalin with a mass uprising. Dragged through the streets.
wouldn’t that ending be a wee bit too quick?Stalin?
you mean Mussolini, Ceucescu, Gadaffi?
Its been written Putin is terrified of ending ike Gadaffi, so here's hoping thats exactly how it ends.
Yes you’re quite rightStalin?

Er, Stalin died from complications from a stroke, there was no mass uprising. ..he died of a condition prevalent in old age .How could they possibly guarantee safe passage? Yes, at the moment it is but a pin-prick - but nonetheless a positive one. These things mount up - slowly to be sure, and probably he'll die of old age first. It's still laying down a marker. At this point the arrest warrant is largely symbolic. But it formally reinforces that he is an international pariah and that will help to increasingly isolate him and make him an outcast. In practice, it might make it more awkward for some countries to continue to sit on the fence over Ukraine.
So I think it will make life a bit more uncomfortable for Putin ( good) but I doubt he will care too much and he’ll retrench and sadly survive for sometime yet: I think it will take a terminal illness to solve the problem and we just have to hope it happens soon.
