The EU has been far too weak, much stronger sanctions are required.

Merkel needs to grow a pair, the one European leader Putin might listen to.

I pray to the Gods that they lose the WC.

Don't worry, David Cameron has banned the export of a wide range of sanitaryware, bathroom fixtures and plumbing supplies in response to Russian sanctions.

Putin will listen, laugh and turn off the gas.....
Then his economy will simply collapse in a quivering heap,..... why do you think he hasn't done that so far? He needs the EU market, remember, the EU can buy its gas from elsewhere ( maybe a few quid more expensive),... whereas Russia will find it much harder to find new buyers to pick up the slack and keep his economy going.

Hope Huilo does that. In fact we really need to sanction Gazprom now, and do it for him.

His economy will dissolve, and he'll be left fleeing to Zimbabwe with as much gold as his plane will carry.

Russia has signed a multi billion dollar order for Gazprom with China for the next 30 years .

I am so pleased that those wa****s at FIFA have a potentially massive extra headache now on top of
Qatar. Could be the end of FIFA. Chickens coming home to roost.

He He. It's a political deal. The Chinese drove such a hard bargain that they are getting it for pretty much cost of production price. Still, it 'looks good' for Putin to have this 'success'.

The World cup in Russia won't happen if sanctions prevent the global sponsorship deals.
