Well he was the one that bought the players in that scored tonight. Without them we wouldn't have won these games.

We owe Russell a lot of thanks.

Mickey Who?
Barry Who?
Stevie who?
Pat who?
Chris who?

Lets have a go at every former manager!

We have a new manager whos doing rather well, why do people still feel the need to moan about former managers?!

The same Russell who saved us from certain relegation to League 2 last season? :wozza:

Too right, Slade might not have been the man to take our club forward but without him we'd be in the fourth tier playing against the likes of Accrington and Burton and probably getting f***ed by Micky Adams' Port Vale.

Give it a fuicking rest SF, move on.

Is this the Russell Slade who saved us from almost certain relegation last season? Is this the Russell Slade who spoke with eloquence, intelligence and was one of the most genuine managers we have ever had? Was this the Russell Slade who, having just relocated his young family has now to move them yet again? Is this the Russell Slade who brought many of the players who are now part of our team to the club?

Russell Who? Give me strength!!!!

The fact that Gus has had a good start, doesn't mean I don't want it to continue.

I'm not in the position of hiring and firing. At the point in time at which Salad was sacked, I disagreed with the decision. Still stand by it. However, life has moved on. Gus is now in charge, and like all of his predecessors, I will support him to the hilt, until I feel he is not in our best interests!:) He is definitely the best manager so far this season

I don't think Gus would have come to a L2 club, so yes we
have a lot to thank RS for.

Anyone still missing Slade?

A number of posters were villified for calling for his head, but it is looking as if our chairman made the right decision. Well done Tony Bloom.

Why? Sunday was the Albion doing what the Albion do best. Winning when cast in the role of plucky underdogs. We'll probably do the same on Saturday v Leeds. It's the bread and butter stuff we can't hack. Wycombe are a thoroughly wretched side, almost guaranteed to go down, and we yet again struggled to overcome mediocre opposition tonight. The current set of players are going nowhere fast. Just hope the new manger is smart enough to realise that there's a helluva lot of dead wood still in the squad, despite the most blatent examples having been cleared out over the Summer.

Not suggesting in any shape or form that GP is a bad choice. Just that there's nothing meaningful that can be read into his first two games in charge.

No posters were vilified for calling for his head- some were for going on about it so damn much. You were one of them.

Dude, you're reaching BHAdeb status. Give it a f***ing rest.

We had a good start to the game tonight, just like we did on Sunday against Soton and yet again tonight, certain players, not those brought in by RS, seem to fall back into their bad habits and bad form and manage to make mediocre opposition look half decent!

RS threw us a lifeline for this season and handed a solid foundation for GP to work from. We owe RS a debt of gratitude for what he did but now is the time to lay those fond memories to rest, get behind GP and the team and get us up into the Championship ready for Falmer. Let's all move on eh?

Why slag off Russell Slade?

he done a superb job at this club last year. got rid of a lot of dead wood and was trying to re build the squad. the results didnt go his way but he had alot of injuries and suspensions, plus it is hard to win a game with 10 men every other week!

lets move on, thanks Russell for all your hard work, NOW GET BEHIND GUS!

Russell Slade.

Gus Poyet it reaping the rewards of Slade's hardwork.

I would agree, but only in that Slade was the guy who brought us some of those that did well - Crofts, Dicker, Tunnicliffe, Bennett and Dickinson. As for hard work - well that has to be a joke.
