Good for him top bloke....and at least I could understand him when he spoke - unlike one manager I could mention...although I admit his Spanish might be a bit better than mine!

He works well under pressure and on a shoe string, not a team with aspirations of ever getting anywhere, sounds like a good placement for him and them. I just hope he doesn't do something stupid like leave due to a lack of ambition though, he just isn't good enough.

Oh, that is good news. Genuine bloke, IMHO.
Shame he's working for an arse like Hearn

Talk about mixed emotions. Russ is a truely great bloke & I still can't figure out how he kept such a totally crap side in the division last season. Perhaps we were all resigned to relegation, and to a certain extent the pressure was off. However, my sister in law is a season ticket holder. I loathe the bitch, and few things in football would make me happier than her supporting a conference outfit. Russ will steer them well clear of relegation. As long as he has no money to spend, he'll do a great job.

Good luck to him. Hope he keeps Orient up (although obviously not at our expense) as it is one of my favourite away games of the season. Good to see Russell Slade back in football.

Totally agree with eveyrthing said here...

Really hope he does well for them - a genuinely nice bloke! Shame it will be Orient he has to try to keep up but at least they're a local rival!

Thats good, I was worried that our not so good run would keep him out of business, but he was a honest to god nice guy and deserves another chance, hopefully Leyton Orient can do that
