Sky have included us in their whispers. Anyone heard anything? I like Russell Martin, obviously a Brighton born guy so I doubt he'd struggle to settle. Premier League experience as well as top end Championship experience, captained Norwich last season as well. He'd cover right back and centre back, I say get him in!

As much as I like this rumour, the more encouraging sign there is Hendrick to Burnley which, hopefully, means Stephens stays at Brighton (and signs a new contact, while inspiring Kayal to do so too)

I'd be very happy for both deals to go through, Stephens and Kayal are imperative to us.

Martin would be great business for us.

As for Boro signing Subotic, I see they're getting Negredo too. I have to say, if/when we get to the Premier League I will explode if we make signings of that pedigree, it's ridiculous.

After reading the article it just seems like someone putting 2 + 2 together, born in Brighton and flourished under Hughton at Norwich. Would be a good signing but won't get my hopes up.

We currently have three first team centre backs. One is short term injured and one won't be match fit until September. If we shell out £2m+ for Martin then Dunk is gone (Martin is certainly not going to be on the bench for that money) and we STILL need another back-up CB
