I rate Russell Crowe. He was terrifying in Unhinged

Cinderella Man is a great film, and I often think it goes under the radar. Well worth checking out if you haven't seen it.

The greatest ever Boxing film imo

The Nice Guys
The Water Diviner
Noah
A New York Winter's Tale
Les Miserables
The Man With the Iron Fists
Republic Of Doyle
The Next Three days
Robin Hood
Mystery, Alaska
Breaking Up
Heaven's Burning
Rough Magic
Virtuosity
No Way Back

plus lots of earlier films.

Probably would have been better to reverse the thread and ask for good films Russell Crowe has been in.

I have only seen three of those films

Robin Hood
The Next Three Days
Noah

Noah was the only one I didn’t really enjoy as per the OP

Slept through Robin Hood on 3 failed attempts to finish. Les Miserables is an insult to all who died on the barricades. Gladiator was a lot of historical bollox and then there was that tut where he owns a vineyard. The latest Thor was poor too. Apart from that he has appeared in endless cinematic masterpieces, although I'm struggling to think of any. Actually the water diviner one was just meh.
Sorry I couldn't be bothered to read the thread. But I like him as an actor and watched Master and Commander for the 4th time last month.

I knew I’d be completely out of step with some on NSC :lolol:

Love it but I won’t be changing my mind!

Yes l thought the latter was a tad over the top too. Greatest living actor? really?

It's all subjective though l guess.

You seem to have you turned favourite into greatest, I never suggested greatest

My favourite football club is Brighton, are they the greatest?

A good year is such a great, feel good film. Might have to watch it again this afternoon
Yes, you really do feel the warmth, smells of the château and vineyard. Fabulous setting. Brilliant performances by all parties, and likeable characters. As you say a feel good film, and never get bored watching it. The soundtrack is just marvellous. The so called film experts! slated it. What do they know. Although never really remarked this is one of his better films! A strange one. Crowe just a super actor.
