What’s happened to innocent to proven guilty? Having a quick channel flick on the verious news channels looks like he’s already been investigated and sentenced already

secondly no doubt they have been digging in Farage's past which didn't work so they went for his bank balance and accounts.
This isn't about Farage, but I thought it was the bank that did something with his account, not the media?

Brand would admit no doubt that being an ex promiscuous smack head would make him a likely suspect.
That's not so much an admission, as a preemptive 'I'm innocent guv' plea. 'I'm a suspect because I'm promiscuous, not because I done anyfing wrong'.

My crime if any is cynicism and not prepared to give the media the benefit of the doubt. To many people lap up what the media says when it suits their prejudices, I tend to believe the opposite of what they say as being nearer the truth.
Whilst I think it's worth scrutinising what we're told, I think that a default of believing the opposite of what the news says is madness. No doubt you think Ukriane has invaded Russia. The good news is, we must be arming Russia to help them defend themselves against those nasty Ukrainians.

The Sun and Mail if out of step (I dont read them) are outliers.

Its not one Guy its millions, people where posting to him that the establishment would come for him and they were right. I think the establishment will go for Neil Oliver next for his GB News Monologues.
I do hope so.

What, the lovely chap who does Coast on BBC 2.

Anyhow, if it's 'millions' they kind of sound like 'the establishment'

Careful with all that logic and reasoning. It's terribly establishment. And no match for strongly held opinion.

This is how the media has twisted it I think. I suspect the runner just asked them if they would be willing to give brand their number , obviously unless they were completely stupid they would know what that was for. They had a choice if they wanted to give their number and if they chose to reply or meet brand.
Yes they had a choice and I didn't for one second suggest otherwise. I have no doubt that there were plenty of takers on the 'who wants to go on a Russell fuckathon' offer. What I said, is that I don't think that was a good practice by the production company. It's them I was being critical of in that instance, not Russell. So there's no twisting by the media there.

Unless the TV companies want to find themselves in all sorts of trouble, I very much doubt that's the case. They are reporting what has been alleged and the latest developments in a fast-moving news story. That's very different to them saying he's guilty!

I quite agree. I am in essence making 2 points in that it is trial by media and not the media reporting Brand being charged and secondly no doubt they have been digging in Farage's past which didn't work so they went for his bank balance and accounts. Brand would admit no doubt that being an ex promiscuous smack head would make him a likely suspect.

Media aren't making as much of a stink about Dan Wooton who is quick to judge the actions of others like Meghan Markle and Philip Schofield

Probably waiting for the result of corporate investigations (we know about) and we really don't know whether there is a police investigation.

I'd imagine there are very good legal reasons it's gone a bit quiet.

Also the country isn't twitter and the vast majority of the population don't know who he is.
