So?....where was she Monday?...Did she sneak out the back way or did the club fear for the safety of 'E blockers' and move her to the North stand? :lolol: E block were gargling at 4.35pm for the usual 4.40pm performance. Alas, Medusa and hubby failed to show. Any enquiries regarding ticket refunds for this cancelled performance should be addressed to the Queens Road ticket office. ( In person ) ???

As one of the "gentle folks" concerned, this was our first preplanned R.R.R.f.t.Bus, mainly due to the previous evil eye episodes. and have to say it was even funnier due to hubby reappearing up above the eye line level and giving some nasties.
Everyone is invited to attend the next event. it's hilarious:clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :bounce: :bounce:   :lolol: :lolol:

NSC expects great things of y'all tomorrow. Do your duty...

My four penny worth

the lady in question who you so bravely have a go at for leaving 15 minutes early in E Block is an employee of the club who as part of her contract with the club has to get to her post by the entrance to the ground 15 minutes before the end of the game.

Whilst it is obviously highly hilarious to be able to shout abuse at this lady, and I am sure it all makes you feel much better, I have known her for over 10 years + and she works harder for the club that you lot can imagine. She takes unimaginable shit from people day in day out who phone up and abuse her because they cant get 20 tickets in a row for all their mates who actually support Arsenal but would like to see "little old Brighton" when they are here for a stag do. She does not make the rules about postal applications, she follows them as best she can.

So on a Saturday, after working her butt off during the week, she gets a chance to see some part of the game ( as you know she gets into the ground late because some people chose to leave the pub at 2:59 and still want to collect their tickets) , ahe is forced to leave the game early because of her job and what does she get for all of this dedication. ABUSE FROM PEOPLE WHO SHOULD KNOW BETTER.

I hope when the playoff tickets are being dolled out, that you will of course apologise to her when she is getting your tickets together and working overtime ( unpaid) to get yours sent out ( a la Grimsby) and also perhaps you will also spare a thought as you get them for all the arseoles who will abuse/swear and insult her when they don't get a ticket, even though they "only went to the goldstone" and deserve a ticket as they went to the playoff final many years ago.

Thought not

Rant over

Goodnight

MISSING ACTION COSTS FANS MONEY
Wednesday 14 April 2004

A national survey of over 11,000 football fans, undertaken by 3 video mobile, shows that nearly one in four (24%) match going Barclaycard Premiership supporters admit to heading home from games before the full ninety minutes is up.

The decision to head for the exits ten minutes from time is costing fans of Barclaycard Premiership teams alone a whopping £10.6 million of football action a season - as well as an average of 18% of their team's goals.

With an average ticket price of around £30, supporters are paying good money to miss out on goals which may make or break their team's season.

Up to and including the weekend of 28th March this season:

* 146 goals have been scored after the 80th minute of a game.
* As many as 26% of a team's goals are scored in the last 10 minutes. Regular late scorers include Manchester City and Southampton.
* Chelsea and Manchester United fans that have left home matches early so far this season have been hardest hit, missing 12 goals each.
* Fans at Leeds and Aston Villa will have suffered least as their teams have scored the least goals in the last 10 minutes, just three.

The survey was conducted by 3, the mobile network that uses the latest 3G technology to show video action from Barclaycard Premiership and UEFA Champion's League games on mobile phones.

Commenting on the survey findings, Graeme Oxby, 3's Marketing Director said: "One in four fans regularly leaves the match early, so we're delighted that we can offer a simple solution - a chance to catch up on the action they missed. This means fans will miss nothing except the traffic."

Reacting to the findings, Malcolm Clarke, Chairman of the Football Supporters Association commented: "If you consider someone who leaves every game early by around 5 minutes, they'll end up missing 2 to 3 games a season - and it only takes a second to score a goal. Perhaps fans don't realise so many goals are scored so late; this survey should highlight what they're missing! In 40 years, I've only ever left one game early. It was Liverpool vs. York City, we were 6-0 down and I decided to dash for the last train home. We lost 7-0 in the end."

The results show that it is not just fans of the losing side that are leaving in droves before the ref blows the final whistle - almost half of those leaving games early (49%) did so to beat the traffic.

The top three reasons for leaving early were:

Concerns about traffic congestion (49%)
Their team were getting beaten (35%)
Their team aren't going to score (6%)

Customers of 3 can watch clips from Barclaycard Premiership matches on a video mobile phone. They can also opt for a 'Football Add-on' - which for £5 per month offers unlimited access to 3's wide range of football content, including Premiership highlights, near-live goals from UEFA Champions League games, match previews, text alerts and team news.

Methodology: 3 estimated the cumulative match day ticket spend of fans attending Barclaycard Premiership home games, then calculated the cost of missing the last 10 minutes of action as a percentage of this total. 3 then calculated the amount of action fans were missing in monetary terms based on survey results which revealed 24% of match going Barclaycard Premiership fans regularly leave a game early.

Late scoring league: goals scored by Barclaycard Premiership teams after 80 minutes in 2003/04 season (up to and including Sunday 28 March).

In the past few years, football fans leaving early will have missed:

* Manchester United's two late goals against Sheffield Wednesday to clinch their first Premiership title
* The thrilling climax to the Champions League Final when Manchester United scored two late goals to become the Champions of Europe.
* David Beckham's incredible last minute free kick which clinched England's place in the 2002 World Cup Finals
* Goalkeeper Jimmy Glass becoming a Cumbrian hero when he scored the winning goal in injury time of the last match of the 1998-99 season to save Carlisle United from relegation.
