You may not what? There are no spaces before commas. That's all I see in that post. Bad punctuation.

He will need much more than luck, by the way.

Who will you go into bat for, next, I wonder?

"You may not agree with his politics , but that Putin is quite a guy , travelling around Mariupol like that , in the dark".
A somewhat ludicrous comparison, comparing a media tycoon with a mass murderer .

All this "hideous human" and "preying on the weak" stuff misses the point. Murdoch is a businessman and a very successful one. Whoever said business was ethical? He does what it takes to increase business. He makes alliances, promotes certain people and makes a populist call on issues to sustain and grow his business.

Unlike when Wilfred Zaha dies, I will be having a party when that odious jerk shuffles off this mortal coil. Perhaps he can take Putin and a host of others with him. Scumbag!

It doesn’t miss the point. He is a hideous person and does prey on the weak, the motive behind it is irrelevant. He’s a horrible **** do your research.

Fox News is being sued in America, and he’s trying to weasle out of it by saying it isn’t a news channel but entertainment.
It is a propaganda channel for his manipulating the public, as well as his other outlets.
Why did he back Brexit? As he said, when I talk to Downing Street, they listen, but when I spoke to Brussels, they didn’t.
Lies, propaganda and puppet master.

Really, calling people hideous and horrible is nothing to do with research. Anyone can do that. Based on what I've seen of Murdoch over time, he's a businessman and an opportunist and that is his major influence. If I wanted to name call, there are many people I would personally put in the hideous and horrible category above Murdoch.

Yes he has a major influence but uses that influence for hideous acts.

Quite.

And as part of this he has exploited all exploitable opportunities. Of course he is going to back Thatcher (and later Blair). He backs winners. Unfortunately they both gleefully embraced the support (in Blair's case, to be fair it was embrace Murdoch or lose; the tories will always have the backing of the Daily Mail and Torygraph so in Thatcher's case it was a genuine shared vision of union-free capitalism). I was never sure how political leaders can distance themselves from media moguls, albeit this is all a bit last year, now; the media voice with the greatest reach these days is.....the BBC and, luckily, they are mostly impartial despite having a tory backing CEO and (yet) are under attack from right wing culture war-ists).

Back to Murdoch....do I care about an old man exploiting his wealth to get his leg over? Not really

Quote from former Australian PM Malcolm Turnbull

Murdoch’s News Corp of eroding democracy in the US and Australia by dividing people and undermining institutions with lies and populist rightwing ideology.

I disagree, he has been doing it in the UK as well.

Times Radio
The Times
The Sun
Talk TV

Time for a UK government to end cross media ownership in these isles, also those owners that don't live here or pay taxes here
