Nike Air Zoom Superrep.
They may look clumpy but they're super bouncy. I have Osgood Schlatter and Osteopenia and I swear by them. Look at getting 1/2 a size bigger though as they can be quite tight.

Ask 20 runners, you’ll get 20 different answers........none of which will necessarily be right or wrong for you.

You really need to get to a shop where they can take a look at your feet (for example widths and sizes vary enormously, heel drops similarly) and gait and then advise. Also depends on where you want to use them (road, light trail, muddy stuff or a mix).

There are a couple of manufacturers (see above post) that have helpful online guides, and some stores that can do a remote analysis if you send them a clip of you running (Runners Need do it I think) - which they’ll do for free if you buy from them.

I’m a big Hoka fan myself. Supremely comfortable, plenty of width and usually last ages......

I started running a lot recently and bought a nice pair on recommendation of someone who also runs a lot and don’t like them, bought a pair of lightweight knit style running trainers and I much prefer them, quarter the price as well.

Very open to opinion, I wouldn’t lay out a big amount of any pair you can’t try on in person before you buy.

Another over pronater here voting for Brooks Adrenaline.

Try the “wet foot print” test to see if you need support. Google it

Can anyone tell me the difference between Brooks Ghost and adrenaline ? Thanks

Ghost is a shoe for a neutral runner so that’s one difference I guess ie it has less support.

Correct.........hence difficult to make a decision on which is best until you know whether you actually need support......sizing is also slightly different too (oddly), the Adrenalines I think come up slightly smaller than the Ghost so may need to go a half size bigger than ‘normal’ shoe size (I’m firmly in the camp that says your trainers should be the same size as your normal footwear)

Brooks Adrenaline GTS for me as they are very stable and stop the foot rolling. Best bet is to take expert advice from someone who’s watched you run ... like the guy at Run on Blatchington Road, if the store has survived.

I guess you all know that the GTS means “Go To Shoe”. A bit of useless info to end a good week.
