[News] Running out of gas.

About to have my boiler serviced British Gas and each time they tried to sell be a replacement over the last 5 years ago for around £4/5000 pounds i think they are very expensive.However it's still working well.

I got a new boiler on the net for £1000 and a bit (condensing multipoint for 3 bed semi) and an engineer to fit it for a couple of hundred quid. £4-5000 does sound quite expensive (unless you live in a mansion of course).

Depends how old the old one is. Mine met spec because it was installed but couldn't be replaced when it broke as was as it didn't meet current regs. Gravity fed and it a cupboard meant a big bill whoever I went with.
