[Albion] Rumours of Unrest - received wisdom, or a reality?

Minteh was late for the match. Rumours of unrest in the training ground. Ferguson leaves on loan. Several "injuries" happening recently. Not a good look for Hurzeler.

The only sauce we have so far is Munchkin, who reports what was clearly a minor disagreement, since the players involved are all still training with the club and involved in matches. Given FH’s insistence on group discipline, it clearly wasn’t anything more. (albeit one is quite rightly going out on loan)

So it appears that that’s the sum total of evidence, which amounts to a fart in the wind. People disagree all the time, it doesn’t mean they’ve lost respect or can’t/won’t work with each other.

So far, there’s nothing else out there, and with respect to Munchkin, if he’s not willing to reveal his source then even that’s anecdotal at best.

Looks to me like nothing to see here, just some weaponising of Munchkin’s (unverified) tale of a disagreement.

If there wasn't unrest before there should be after losing 7-0, everyone needs to be in a room and explain their behaviours in the game, get all the negativity out and that needs to include a session with recruitment or have those involved in the summer been sacked already.

I'll go back to the Minteh incident last week. People saying its all about discipline and rules , yes that plays a part but its also about managing circumstances as and when they appear, reading a set of rules and saying your 1 minute late, the rules say..... is not real management. Clearly no one on here knows what went on , or how late he was, but if we have a rule book manager then that needs to change.

Something that you shouldn't be posting here. For two reasons, you cannot verify it yourself or the nature of the actual conversation. And also that this rumour gets spread and manipulated by those who cannot help themselves. You could also alert the club to a leak. Remember the team sheet thing ?

In the past I have been told stuff, on one occasion by a 'senior' NSCer that has been proven to be true. I was recently told something that is happening at the club that, if shared, may be neither here nor there. I still wouldn't share it. There is also the added advantage of meaning I am trusted enough to hear all the gossip.

As far as I am concerned, any revealing of internal happenings, even if true, is all very 'look at me'.

Respect and understand your post. There a lot of things I’m told that I don’t share for exactly the reasons you state. However, with the whole Evan Ferguson situation and the way he is (and continues to be treated by FH) I thought it was only right to post what I did to add some context.

I know for a fact the dressing room has been a close nit group for a long long time now, very rarely would you hear any negatives and when things did happen it was very much a closed shop and very little got out.

That isn’t the case this season and there are a lot of things going on that people seem keen to ‘leak’ this isn’t just the players, it’s the staff also that have been here in the same roles under RDZ and Potter.

But take on board your point and I think it’s a valid comment, so I won’t be posting anything further on NSC with regards to what I’m told is happening behind the scenes

I suspect there is division and unrest in every dressing room where results aren't going your way. It's a relentless league where small margins determine results, I imagine it's an incredibly stressful environment with regular fall outs.

Not sure I like the tone of this thread or the general tone at the minute. Much of our fan base has become a bit entitled and I'm not sure we earnt the right to have that attitude.

You don’t need to be in the know to see there’s a problem. There’s young players wanting out because they don’t feel they are progressing. Good players are looking like poor players. New players are not settling. No one looks happy. No one on the pitch seems to have a clear idea about what they are supposed to be doing. And there’s a notable lack of all the positive interviews from senior players that we used to get about Potter and RDZ.

Thanks. I wasn't having a go, well I suppose I was. Nothing personal. It's just that a lot of what arrives on these forums is not helpful, especially as, even if a source may have something genuine, the motives and emphasis of what they say could be corrupted. It's the way of the world these days, well, since forever. Just look at the political threads. I'm sure that there are disagreements in any camp. And you don't need to even have a source to know that players will sometimes have a beef with management. But, even then, there are angles upon which the issue will be viewed.

Having looked at the original post I made, and the further reply, whilst I stand by the points I am raising I'd like to say sorry for the 'look at me' comment. There is no evidence that was your intention.
