Rumours Abound

Yet again there are plenty of rumours doing the rounds.

Allegedly the Albion rejected a bid of £600k from Huddersfield for Murray a couple of weeks ago.

Murray does not necessarily want to move back up north for personal reasons.

Slade tried to off load Nicky Forster before the season started, wants to play only 1 upfront particularly on away trips.

Wise is still on the wanted list, as manager.

Slade only has one game left to turn it round.

Not sure if any of the above are true but as the Albion have had an indifferent start then rumours will increase.

I thought there were positives about yesterday.
Dickinson was excellent, Bennett will settle and do well at this level, Dicker must start friday was class when he came on. No blame on the keeper for any of the goals. Sending off on Hawkins was a bit harsh, but i thought the ref got Elphicks right, you can't tackle from behind without running the risk of a yellow card. Created more chances than in previous matches.

We still need a creative midfield player and a striker, and put Dicker in front of the back four and results will come.

Slade needs more time for this side to gel, but how long he gets is anyone's guess.

Spot on. As for the rumours, I hope the stuff about Slade and Wise is complete b*llshit. Got to give him at least 12 games. If we're still in the bottom 4 by then, I might start to get worried. But I doubt we will be. Slade has, in fact, had monumental bad luck with injuries to key strikers and defenders.

Can I suggest that there is NO WAY we would have turned down 600k for injury prone want away Murray. Not a single reason I can think of why we wouldn't have torn their arm of, even as a big ex Murray fan he has never been worth that even when fit, which let's be honest is virtually never.

.

1. Cannot see why club would turn down £600k and thus double our outlay.
2. What is the problem whereby RS said, at the Fans Forum he has to get his head in gear to play football.
3. I would have thought that numerous clubs at the bottom of Div or ibn Div 2 would have jumped at the chance tpo signa proven goalscorer as has been shown by the number who have and are still playing Paul Furlong at 40 years old.
4. Inevitably when a team struggles names will be banded about and I would think that DW is just an idle speculation should the need arise.

one of ideas behind a "rumour" that sets it apart from just random bollocks spouted in the pub, is that it should come from a reasonably reliable source and be reasonably credible.

why whould we turn done double money on a want away player? what is the other reasons for Murray to want away? who the hell wouldn't want a season or two of Forster and why buy so many strikers over the summer if you prefer 1 up front?

viewing the collection of rumours as a whole, why not get rid of the want away striker who is least suited to playing the lone striker. the two points seems to contradict each other dont they?

2/10
