New Zealand to win, but both South Africa & Australia have a shot. France - not a chance IMO. I think Argentina will spring a few surprises too.
Eh? How can France have no chance when they're on home soil and are 6 nations champions? Much better than the Aussies, IMO.

And which game do you think Argentina are going to win? France or Ireland?

Although France have home advantage their record against NZ over the last two years would suggest they have close on NO CHANCE

3-47
11-23
11-42
and most recently on 09 June this year - 10-61

three of those results are a MULLERING in rugby terms

South Africa are the only other team in with any chance imo, unless of course the French poison the New Zealanders food as ALLEGEDLY the S Africans did when they beat them in the finals in South Africa

We have no back line. FACT.

This is NOT fact indeed it is not true England have produced very good full backs and wingers. the problem is they might as well be sitting in the stands. Unfortunately our half backs are the problem as they seem to wear blinkers and forget we have backs playing.

It's a mental thing Sim. NZ do have a mental problem when it comes to the Aussies... they lost to them in the Tri-Nations this year, but won in South Africa - a much harder task. France seem a beaten team before they get on the pitch against the All-Blacks

Argies could well beat Ireland. No pressure and they're a decent side

That would be precisely my take, AB's on paper every time however they are always concerned about the French unpredictability in the BIG games.

Not so, Don't you remember them being called "Dad's Army" ? People were saying we were a one man team and that we were too old ! Especially when we stumbled through against Wales and Western Samoa !!All i'm trying to say is don't write us off completley

Yes but I also remember beating both Australia AND the All Blacks AWAY in the 6 months prior to the last world cup.

This lot have lost 12 of their last 13 away matches.

A fair point well made :lolol:............but this IS the world cup and ANYTHING can happen and on paper we do look a fair side ! We will not win it but I think the semis are doable
And to be fair the Kiwi's weren't as good as they are now before the last world cup

We were very very lucky to win and it was nearly a year too late for what you correctly call an ageing team. We weren't that impressive in the finals but the previous year we were worldbeaters, we are no longer even close to being that now. NO CHANCE especially as Wilkinson is crocked more often than not and we totally rely on the boot these days
