Totally different motivation for a team that will not expect to just turn up and win, which is what they have done this season.

They will also spend to improve. You are underestimating the resolve of a team who have a history, until recently of raising their game

Where's this history of raising their game? They've been a mid-table team at best since the inception of the Premiership and have finished in the lower places of the league more often than not.

Ok not since the inception of the Premiership but their relegation was a suprise, given their resources. They will raise their game to finish well short of another relegation imo. I'm not expecting them to win the title next season

Yeah, but footballs only got eleven a side whereas rugby has 15 a-side. Also in Rugby we have sensible names for players like ... Hooker, Flanker and lock ....
