Can someone explain the 6 nations to me?

I know there is the outright winner.

But wtf is the Calcutta Cup, triple crown winners, the grand slam?

Calcutta cup is given to the Winners of England v Scotland.

Triple Crown winner is given to the team out of England, Wales, Ireland and Scotland who beat the other 3 home nations (eg, Ireland beat England, Scotland and Wales and are therefore triple crown winners).

The Grand Slam is if the Winners beat every other team in the table (ie every match), last year, Wales won every match, and therefore were grandslam winners.

The Calcutta Cup is awarded to the winners of the match between England & Scotland.
The Grand Slam is if one team beats all other teams in the tournament.
The Triple Crown is contested between England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland. To win the Triple Crown you must beat all of the other 3 teams e.g. if you're England, you would win the Triple Crown by beating Wales, Scotland and Ireland.

And why do they play 10 minutes less?

Is it cos they are big girls and need a rest?

No, the extra five minutes in each half in football takes into account all the girly play acting.

It gives people who weigh upwards of 20 stone a chance to play sport.

I have another rugby question.

Rugby. Whats the POINT ?

Chance to watch a bit of man on man, homo-erotic action without the embarrasment of visiting a sex shop.

Cheers for that. Least Italy managed to get a point. Haven't been disgraced this yr which was good.

I don't think they've disgraced themselves at any point in the last 3 years. When they first entered the championship, they conceded over 200 points over 5 games. This year, they conceded 125 - only 19 more than England, and deserved more than the solitary point they won. They've gone from strength to strength, have some talented players and are playing entertaining rugby most of the time. They desperately need to improve their fitness if they have any dreams of becoming a major team as that really is what's letting them down at the moment, and it told at times, especially in the match against France.

Its amazing how after the world-cup everyone was getting on the rugby bandwagon saying how they were the big rugby fans and their fav player was Jonny Wilkinson. The shirt was a must have. Now suddenly I don't see any of that anymore. Same with the cricket last year. Everyones fav player was Flintoff, people were claiming to be massive cricket fans also and would always watch games live.

Gloryhunting twats.
