An absolute thriller in St Helens as Tonga held off a superb PNG fightback to win 24-18. WIsh I would have watched this instead of the snoozefest at the Amex. Good luck to Wales as they open with a tricky looking encounter against the Cook Islands this evening.

Gutted for Wales last night, heroic effort against the Cook Islands but came up just short.

Absolutely sensational from Dom Young. That was breathtaking. This England side will take some stopping.

Lebanon v Ireland shaping up to be an engrossing encounter. Lebanon just took a 2-0 lead after 15 minutes. BBC2 is your friend right here right now 👍

Burn them , burn them both. May you be eternally dammed to Croydon.
If you want a serious opinion, I prefer watching League to Union, apart from the occasional game where I might feel particularly invested and I can get into a team desperately holding on at their try line for about 5minutes.
Having said that, the only games of league I've paid attention to that I really cared about were either hopelessly one sided or were on the radio, so maybe that's unfair.
I'm going to the final which'll be good. I'll chat to some old get from Huddersfield with much stronger opinions than me on what constitutes a foul.

Superb effort from Wales tonight against the mighty Tonga. Brave in defeat but they can be proud of their efforts.
