You can't see what's funny about 'Too much tortured soul bollocks for my liking. Give me Elliott Smith any day.'?

What about 'Too much tortured soul bollocks for my liking. Give me Kurt Cobain any day.'

Or 'Too much tortured soul bollocks for my liking. Give me Leonard Cohen any day.'

okey dokey. I see. What I meant was that I find his brand of troubled soul a bit fake, hence the comparison with a real troubled genius. Should have made myself clearer.

By the way - I doubt very much if Leonard Cohen has ever hada tortured soul. He has always struck me as quite a jovial bloke. Honestly.

I can't say I can find too much troubled soul stuff in his music. I think it just sounds like he's complaining!

He's one of those artists that the critics think he the dog's bollocks while the general public realise that he's just bollocks. Radio 2 have been playing him to death. Music to top your yourself to.

Thought Jonathan Ross was great when he was on his show. Wossy told him that he didn't attend his concert in London even though he had tickets because he stayed in and watched the Antiques Roadshow.

Cor dear Leon, you're clearly a very intelligent human being so why do you have to point out every tiny contradiction in people's posts when you're on here?

Please stop being NSC's biggest pedant because I actually think you're a very good poster. Not that you probably care what I think but you get my point.

I'm a big fan of Rufus - and it looks like on my own here.

I must say that I don't really see him as one of the 'tortured artist' type. He strikes me as someone who, like his dad, has got a good sense of humour and a nice line in irony.
