Does anyone else keep getting this page when the website is unavailable due to high traffic? Or is that just me?

yeah most of the time, high traffic because some play-off game or something!

Yeah, it's not the high traffic that I was curious about - but more the fact that the site redirects to the RPG-works.net 503 error page. Kinda odd, no?

That'd make sense. But cant we have our own 503 error page for NSC? Maybe something like:

"Sorry, but due to the high volumes of traffic generated by our provincial support, NSC is currently unavailable. However, why not use this temporary downtime to write a letter to John Prescott, etc. etc."

And what kind of RPG is it? Never bothered looking at their site yet. Better not be pen 'n paper.

RPG are, obviously, our hosts. Given the usage that NSC can have - we get a very, very good deal indeed.

Unfortunately, at absolute peak times, you will get a 'too busy' message but it never lasts more than it takes to press back and then refresh several times.

Not ideal, but workable I think.

Yah, not complaining, just wondered why we kept getting RPG's 503 error and not one of our own =)

Just curious, but what is NSC's monthly bandwith like?

I don't look at it much these days - but we have had days where we've hit nearly 5gb. Turning off the ability to attach images from your local machine has helped reduce this. Our limit is 100GB/month.

With our previous hosts, I would get charged £5 per GB for everything over 40GB/month - it could and did get expensive when NSC was busy.

Ouch. Anything over 40GB p/m starts to get expensive, so a host with 100GB p/m allowance is truely a blessing.
