It's been " Missing " since Sunday I believe? It was only a matter of time before something like this happened, sooner or later there will be a major incident if the Iranians find another tanker " Smuggling " but with a team of Marines on board.

To be fair. The region is in their sphere of influence. Its only like the US getting involved in say Central America. The west might not like it, but Iran is a regional power in that part of the world. Also, militarily Iran aint Iraq or Afghanistan, I think thats why Trump is reluctant to take military action. He knows the US would take casualties that the American people probably couldnt stomach.

The last inter-action between the Iranians and our Marines / RN ended up with us having to wait for the Iranians to release them. Its their region, not ours, so hopefully cool heads prevail.

If I remember right that happened in " disputed " waters didn't it ? I think our sailors lowered their guns to prevent a more serious incident at the time. Not sure that would happen again if a team of revolutionary guards were clambering up the side and they got a rifle waiting for them at the top.

This is odd.
Iran has been itching to snatch a ship and now they have and one with a British flag.
But apparently it strayed just into Iranian water.
Right at this time, or any time, do you really think that a ship would get anywhere near Iranian water let alone go into it, did the compass break?

Just seen a picture of the tanker, nice little one, not much freeboard so an easy hop on for the Iranian special forces, they probably didn't even get their feet wet and yet big enough to use as a chip.

maybe using Galileo for GPS? its not difficult to stray into Iranian water, shipping lanes are pretty much in their waters.
