I'll pop you on the +1s list as a maybe
Did you start this thread purely so you could respond to someone with a subtle 'I know the band' post. If so, superb 'look at me' work.

Genuinely, no. They're a well known Brighton based band, with a member who often represents the club in small and medium ways.

I was curious to see how many were looking to go, as I still hadn't made up my mind. My comment to @The Clamp was a joke which could be made no matter whether you knew the band or not...

That's a shame, as i'm an admirer of the thinly veiled look-at-me. I am being serious btw.

They play rock music, don't they?

Interestingly, I heard them on Radio 1 (hosts of the 'notorious' toys-out-of-pram event) where their new single was hottest record and there wasn't a mention of that outburst. But it did make me laugh when host Jack Saunders VERY subtly alluded to the Big Weekend antics by going on about how they really had a "new connection with the audience" :lolol:

Had a ticket and sold it.

Got Johnny Marr on the Thursday and Pulp on the Friday. Can't do three gigs on the bounce these days. Plus heard the venue is a nightmare.

Good first album, but have since become a bit of a 1 trick pony.

Also beach gigs are horrendous for sound quality and very, very uncomfortable.

Saw them a few years ago in the Concorde2 - that was fine with me.
