Probably more for the oldies, but a hugely underrated artist.
It’s a tv fest of Roy Orbison on BBC 2. Recording all of them, the man was a genius song writer (mostly pretty dark) and had a voice made in heavenProbably more for the oldies, but a hugely underrated artist.
Seen it a number of times, T Bone Burnett (the premier guitar player on the gig) and JD Souther and Jackson Browne are also on there.Don't know whether it's on tonight, but there's a brilliant live gig in black and white with amongst others, Bruce Springsteen, Elvis Costello, Bonnie Rait and k.d. lang.
Well worth seeking out

His range in ‘In dreams’ probably puts him up there as one of the greatest ever.Absolutely brilliant singer, even more amazing was the fact that he was a heavy smoker but still sounded like an angel.
