This is the route given to me by the AA website, wouldn't it be quicker to take the road down the middle?

Fair enough the AA routeplanner is normally quiet good and it does say it's the quickest but not neccesarly the shortest.

Seaford Where else!
Agreed in theory with TGC but if your coming from anywhere near Brighton then M23 M25 M3 M4 is quicker (albeit longer in miles)
Avoid the Salisbury/Warminster way (shorter in miles but longer in time) And i personally would avoid A27/M27 .... Shite roads!

Season ticket holder who lives South of Bristol. Always go A/M27, M3, A34 and M4.

You will get stuck behind slow traffic on the A36.

"M23 M25 M3 M4" - isn't there something missing there? If you get on the M3 on the M25 you'll end up in Southampton ?!?!

Agree with above - go to uni in Bristol and A27, M27, M3, A34, M4, M32 (into Bristol) is DEFINITELY the way to go, at least from Worthing and surrounding areas.

Probably still better than M25, even from Brighton area?

After evening games at Withdean I still take the route above, and give the M23/25 the swerve. Once you are past roundabout-land (Chichester) there is little reason to go below 95 until you get to the middle of Bristol.

swindon, wilts
I do the trip from Swindon every home game.

My route is M23/M25/M3 Bracknell turn off) to M4.

Takes 2hrs to Swindon and Bristol is another 25mins

total milage will be about 320.

Allow an extra 45mins for M25 in early evening to be on safe side.
no problems on way home would suggest M4/M25/M23 as roads will be very quiet.
