I'm in a minority of 1 who is chuffed with that draw. Only an hour and a half away from home, almost guarantees me an away ticket for the league game as many will not fancy it twice in 4 months and surely another 15 Europe points to be bagged.

Most importantly though, it's winnable and a few decent premier league sides are guaranteed to go.
Twice in four months? Try twice in 3 weeks!!

Pretty dull and uninspiring 4th. round match for us (but hopefully Sheffield United will be desperately concentrating on the league to stay up) but get past them and it's opening up nicely. Only 11 out of 20 PL clubs in the next round, and three of these top half (more or less) clubs - City, Spurs, Fulham, Newcastle, Chelsea and Villa - will be out.

This will be my first trip to Bramall since Leon Knight He's Alright's late winner, when Mark McCammon celebrated by going horizontal over the advertising boardings - absolute glory days

Happy with that.

Towards the end, there were a lot of tough teams in the bowl. Yes it’s not at home but a good test for us away.
Fair point. When the only other options were Fulham and Newcastle… that’ll have to do.

Accentuate the positives.

There aren't any.

The away fixture could work in our favour. They will have to come out at some point. They will, won't they?
Depends if they play with 11 backs fully against the wall, bus parked in optimum location and get a 0-0 draw. Then we have a replay, repeat of the first game plays out, 0-0 after 120 minutes and they win on penalties...

There is no way Sheffield United prioritise this fixture . The league is everything for them and I think they will rest a few.

If we want the allocation; we will have both the standard lower tier and also the upper tier - the view from upper tier is a lot better. Potential for just shy of 5000 tickets available for this

Plenty via Doncaster 😉
No direct trains 27/28 Jan.
Line closed Luton-Bedford.
Travel Kings Cross via Donny.

Reduced service between Donny and Sheffield that weekend. The online journey planners haven’t been updated yet - there will only be one Northern service an hour. The TPE trains are terminating at Donny as only running between Cleethorpes and Doncaster

Happy with that. Home should’ve been better but it’s a good chance to progress and avoided the bigger teams - not sure what people call a good draw these days…!?

Think that’s the last time I went.
Glory days indeed, somehow a bottle of champagne appeared on our journey home!
I remember Leon Knight going over as he celebrated, did McCammon go over as well?

It seems like we are almost always drawn away.
I guess Barber is happy as 1901 Club members get home’s included in their season ticket deal.
