This is why I think their Random Number Generator is somewhat floored:

I have been in casinos and seen this type of number pattern fairly often. Sadly, not on one of my regular numbers i might add!

At the risk of sounding like a right boring bastard I think the important piece of the jigsaw when it comes to randomly generated numbers is that the selection of the random number is not 'path dependent', that is, the last number to have come in will have absolutely no effect whatsoever on the number to come in next as they are two separate events.

Think of it like this - if you toss a coin and get heads does that mean heads is less likely to come in next time you toss it? No, because it's a completely different toss of the coin and the chances are still 50/50.

f*** me i've confused myself now...anyway, hope this helps!

But the odds are surely favoured in that there are 35 other numbers it could land on and only 1 number it could land on to repeat itself? So to do the same number 4 times in a row is 1 in 37, x 1 in 37 x 1 in 37 x 1 in 37, whereas if it had spun 26, the odds of getting anyother number than 26 would be 36/37?

I am not great at maths and fractions so I apologise if the above is complete bollocks!

Shame you ain't still at it Psycho

Say if i had gone on it at the first spin with a £100 lay out on the first 26 you see, you would only be up about £1400.00 if you continue popping down a £100.00 with max payout for the 26. So no i dont miss it as i know how quick that can go back in your talking 14 spins !!

Dont get sucked in, its lethal

Im far richer and happier now i dont go on the crack machines.

mmmmmm nah im happy i know how quick you could put that back in a

thats working on max you could / can bet £100 per spin and max payout which is something like £495.00 total win per spin max.... which means you can only place max £13.75 on a straight win. so like i said if i started on the first 26 with a hundred layout and then carried on with £100 layout including my other numbers untill the last 26 you would only be profit by about £1400.00 placing £100.00 each spin if you follow what im saying.

I too have seen similar sequences of numbers come up to those quoted by McShane at the bookies. But I have never seen this at a live casino. The random number generator is therefore not actually random.

For a specific number, yes. If it's just "the same number" then it's (37x37x37)-1, as it's irrelevant what the first one is. The important point is that these are unrelated contingencies, and you'd be amazed how many people can't accept that. "It's come up red five times in a row so it must be black next time" etc.

I can fully understand it being red 10 times in a row or odd 12 times. But thought the odds on getting the same number 5 times out of 7 would be absolutely mental

No I meant when bookies first got Crystal Meth machines.

You used to be able to win up to GBP 50,000 grand on them, in Ladbrokes any way.

Is'nt that around £1,390 max bet per no?

I was playing on our training card today and 17 black numbers come in consecutively. 17 came in 5 times (coincidance?!), and 13 came in 4 times. It was amazing. I managed to get my balance up to £2,503! Shame it was all imaginary money.

If anyone wants to have a go on the Roulette, ask at the counter for the training card. It gives you £100 free credit, every shop needs to use them every day. :)

Nice one, might give that a spin.

Why do the shop need to have them then?
