Good morning. Does anyone know if this is still closed off since the rock fall a couple of weeks ago? Just planning my Sunday de-stressing, head-clearing, essential-exercise-only trip out tomorrow.

Still closed yesterday. You can walk down through the Marina and out the other side though

It’s closed at Rottingdean, and at Saltdean.
A photo of Hope steps further east was sent to the Coastguard yesterday, as the ground under them is crumbling away, so that area will be closed off too.

Behind the Marina. Marina to Rottingdean is open I thought, but having seen post above I now don't know.
I walked from Palace Pier to Ovingdean and back yesterday cutting through the Marina where the undercliff is closed.

Ok. Maybe the OP can check with Sussex coastguard or just take a chance and set off.

Always find Rottingdean area windy , it’s refreshing in the hot summer but not so pleasant this time of year . I prefer to walk along the seafront from the far hove end all the way to kemp town . Plenty of opportunity for refreshments along the way as well .
Saltdean I’m not a fan of , always seems so barren to me , the place time forgot !

Thank you, that’s very helpful. So, going by Mr Zero’s post, I’m assuming the closure is beyond Ovingdean, so will just do the Marina to Ovingdean bit as part of a large circular.

So it’s closed all the way between marina and Rottingdean but open between rottingdean and saltdean
