Bremner was right about the truly great commentators, they seem to transcend their sport. I feel privileged to have grown up in an era and listened to and watched....Arlott, Benaud, O'Sullevan, McClaren, Coleman, Wolstenholme, Walker, Alliss, Longhurst, Lowe, Weekes, Carpenter, Maskell and Waddell.
Richie Benaud was a master of the succinct. Just enough, never too much. He never overplayed his hand. A class act.
