The £8 went to support the Ropetackle who hosted it and who's volounteers ran the bars etc. None if the money went to the club. Nothing earth shattering but it was interesting.

You can't let facts like that get in the way of a good moan :moo:

On another note, I saw (purely from the club's Twitter feed) that the guy recovering from Bowel cancer was called Ernest. Is it wrong that I immediately thought of the NSC "LEG END" when I read that?

I went along and didn't learn anything of earth shattering importance. The most interesting part was Martin Perry's description of the new training complex.
There was a quite moving account by a gentleman who has survived bowel cancer thanks to info given him by AITC.

said gentleman was called Ernest I believe;

and not a mention of the 83 cup final replay money, I smell a rat.
