As if being dropped by Mourinho wasn't bad enough Wayne's week has gone from bad to worse as England manager and confirmed Rooney fan Allardyce has got the chop.

You have to fancy that Southgate with his Under-21 background will be inclined to play youngsters like Rashford, Kane and Alli but will he put Rooney in his 1st XI if he's now not getting a start for the Reds and fast approaching his 31st birthday?

Rooney has been playing at the highest level for nearly 15 years. It was obvious that he would struggle to sustain a career much past 30, with his build and his lifestyle. His body is slowing down and he can't do things he was doing 5 years ago. He is not the future for England. We have to play at a good tempo and his pedestrian style simply doesn't suit anymore.

Sam going is a blessing if his first game was anything to go by and then his comments about Rooney.

It's time for him to retire from international football.

1st name on the team sheet. Unless we get a man who will drop players on form and not the past it will happen time and time again.

Newsflash, it doesn't always have to be Rooney this, Rooney that. Can't wait til he retires, but no doubt the press won't take long to big up Rashford then relish in knocking him down.

Rooney has now been dropped by his club and his international career will go the same way unless he starts scoring.

End of ****ing story.
