Bad luck ronnie .... he's now got to share his £157,000 .... Ali Carter has also just done a 147 maximum break

Though the talk is that he had £10k at 7/1 on someone else getting a 147. So in fact not really that much worse off. Also do not bet against him getting another one himself. The way that he is playing he will not need much of a chance.

The funny thing about Ali Carter's 147 is that Peter Ebdon nearly managed it ten minutes beforehand, overcutting on the final red!

I guess it just goes to show that the standard of snooker is now miles better than it used to be in the days of White, Higgins and Davis.
