You don't have to like his comedy to appreciate what he has contributed to over his career and the charity work he has done. What must be questioned is the awards and in particular knighthoods given to 'captains of industry' who have merely done their jobs and made as much money for themselves in the process. This year they include one person who was jailed for his involvement in the Guiness affair. Probably been given awards more for their support of the incumbent government than anything else, much like previous governments have done.
